Please be advised that a new release (D67) of the HERE Platform is now available on the Production environment (PRD).

 

We send this email to all those who apply for access credentials to the platform, based on the information they provide when registering.

 

This email includes release notes that describe the improvements to the services in the new release. This release includes updates of: HLP Routing API, Map Tile API, Geocoder and Geocoder Autocomplete API, Batch Geocoder API, Waypoints Sequence Extension, Route Match Extension, Traffic API, Venue Maps API and Transit API.

As well, we will publish the release documentation on the Developer Portal.

Management Summary

The release is mainly a maintenance release, highlights are:

• Added support of street intersection search in Mexico and other Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries.
• Weekly map updates for Platform Data Extension API
• New self-hosting version with Q4, 2015 Map data available

Geocoder API

• Added support of street intersection search in Mexico and other Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries. Previously, the Geocoder supported street intersection formats typical for English speaking countries (at, and, @, &). The only supported keyword for street intersection that is typical for Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries was esq. Now, this list is extended by y, por and esquina.

HERE Supplemental includes POIs mapped to Core POI categories obtained from third-party sources.

• HERE Public Transit (11/2015)

Includes global Public Transit locations, arrival and departure times in approximately 800 cities around the world.

New and updated POIs

• POI and Map Data Synchronized to the new HERE China Entry Map

In synchronization with other HERE services Search now caters for mainland China with an unshifted HERE Entry Map due to legal and licensing decisions. Queries executed from inside China are unaffected. Queries executed from outside China for Chinese addresses and POIs may not return Chinese addresses and POIs.

Highlights:

• Voice Endpoint now supports French Queries.
• Search provides improved relevancy ranking between perfectly spelled place names and spelling corrected search results.
